Inequality in Singapore
On 27th July, UKSSC held our annual Singaporeans in Conversation at Singapore Pools where our theme was ”Inequality in Singapore”. During the panel discussion, we focused on the existence and impact of social inequality in Singapore. Additionally, we also discussed the success of government policies and the role of youths and volunteering in alleviating this problem.
The event was graced by Minister Desmond Lee, Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development and Ms Elim Chew, Chairman of Kingdom Food Group, Entrepreneur and Youth Mentor. Alongside the panel discussion, we had a career fair featuring companies like Shopee, IMDA and Changi Airport Group. Participants were also treated to an array of sumptuous food kindly sponsored by Singapore Pools.
Thank you all who attended for your support in coming down and we hope you had a meaningful experience through this event!
