Lissy Vadekel
Position: Head of Education, British Council Singapore
Education: MBA, Strategic Management, University of Birmingham
Lissy joined the British Council six years ago as Head of the Teacher Development Centre, where she and her team worked with educators in the public and private schools in Singapore, designing and planning their continuing professional development pathways. Prior to this, she spent more than ten years in the tertiary educational sector, primarily engaged in developing transnational partnerships between higher educational institutions. Lissy holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham, UK. Her first degree is in Veterinary Science, and she also has a Masters in Veterinary Microbiology.
Ng Lay Kwan
Position: Head, HR Business Partnership, Human Resource Division, Home Team Science and Technology Agency
Lay Kwan is Head, Human Resource Business Partnership in HTX, handling HR matters for Engineers and Scientists in HTX’s Centres of Expertise. She has been serving in the public service for 13 years, and has worked in various roles, including training, budget planning etc.
Guan Jia Mei
Position: Manager, HR Business Partnership, Human Resource Division, Home Team Science and Technology Agency
Jia Mei is a Manager under Human Resource Business Partnership at HTX, assisting in end-to-end HR matters for staff in the HTX Centres of Expertise. Besides her usual scope, she is also part of the team that builds pipeline for outreach & green harvesting efforts such as scholarships, internships etc. Prior to joining the public service, she started out as a HR Business Partner in the private sector at Resorts World Sentosa where she had experience in managing staff profiles in USS and ACW for HR related issues.

Khoo Yi-Lin
Position: Assistant Vice President, Investment (EMEA-Europe), Temasek Holdings
Khoo Yi-Lin graduated in 2015 with a Master of Philosophy. She’s now an Assistant Vice President in our Private Equity Fund Investments sector coverage team within the Investment Group, investing in and managing a large and growing portfolio of private equity fund interests in EMEA.

Position: Assistant Vice President, Investment (EMEA-Europe), Temasek Holdings
Mutaher Ali graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He’s now an Associate in our Agribusiness sector coverage team within the Investment Group, working on investments related to sustainable food and agriculture
