Mr. Alvin Tan

Mr Alvin Tan was appointed Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth and Trade and Industry on 1 September 2020. He was first elected as a Member of Parliament in July 2020.

Before joining the government as Minister of State, Mr Tan worked in the private, public and non-profit sectors in organisations such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, the United Nations and Oxfam.

Mr Tan holds a First Class Honours in Economics from the University of Sydney and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University.
